A Michigan man has been arrested after police clocked him speeding at triple digits on U.S. 31.
It was around 11:20 p.m. on Friday, Sep. 1 on U.S. 31 in Miami County when an Indiana State Trooper stopped the driver of a 2018 Mercedes-Benz for driving 121 miles per hour.
The driver was identified as Brandon K. Harvey, 34, of Grand Rapids.
Harvey had an active warrant out of Cass County. Harvey displayed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests. Further investigation revealed he had a preliminary BrAC of .18%.
Harvey was taken to a local hospital, where he refused to submit to a certified test.
A subsequent Miami County Superior II search warrant for a blood test was granted and later executed. The results of that test are pending.
Harvey was taken to the Miami County Jail and faces charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction and a misdemeanor warrant from Cass County.
