A proposal has been put forward to rename a section of US-20 after the late Representative Jackie Walorski.

State Representative Joanna King of Middlebury says the stretch of the highway between State Rd 15 and County Rd 35 should be renamed in Walorski’s honor.

The lawmaker, who was killed in a two-vehicle crash in August of last year, has been honored with several dedications. The VA clinic in Mishawaka bears her name, as does a section of County Rd 4 in Elkhart County, now known as the Walorski Parkway.
