Notre Dame Student Senate proposes slight raise in student activities fee

(Tommie Lee/MNC)

Notre Dame’s student senate is considering raising the student activities fee.

There was debate about the rise at Wednesday’s weekly meeting, where eight at-large members were also appointed to a committee on the constitution of the undergraduate student body.

The senate also voted to suspend first-year class council elections for candidates who were running unopposed and filled three officer vacancies on the sophomore class council.

The Observer reports the focus of the senate members was a resolution to increase the activities fee, which has been at $95 per year since 2012, by $1.
