Sewer maintenance to cause road closures in Mishawaka

The Mishawaka Sewer Department will intermittently close West Mishawaka Avenue from Logan Street to Main Street between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. beginning on Monday, June 17, for sewer maintenance and cleaning. Flaggers will be directing traffic to Grove Street as a detour. Weather permitting, this work is expected to be completed by Friday, June 21.
Also, Home Street in Mishawaka will be closed to thru traffic between East McKinley Avenue and East Day Road beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 17, for road milling and paving. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times with flaggers on site to direct traffic around the project. Weather permitting, this process is expected to take place until Friday, June 21. Below is the tentative schedule:
•Milling existing pavement from 6/17 to 6/19
•Paving northbound travel lane on 6/19
•Paving southbound travel lane on 6/20
Barricades and signage will be in place at both work sites.
