Teen girl identified as victim who died in crash at Prairie and Dubail in South Bend

We now know the name of the person who died in a crash at the intersection of Prairie and Dubail Streets in South Bend.

The collision happened around 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sep. 23, when a man traveling southbound struck a another vehicle traveling through the intersection. The vehicle that was hit then hit a third vehicle.

16-year-old Caroline Dingman, who was traveling with her father in the third car died at the scene. Her father was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

All other individuals suffered minor injuries and have been cooperating with the investigation.

The crash remains under investigation by the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team.
