A Niles man has been handed a prison sentence after admitting to selling meth to an undercover cop.
Aaron Lee Weaver, 45, conducted the transaction back in March, in Berrien Township, not realizing the true identity of his customer.
He confessed to the charge of delivering and manufacturing methamphetamine and was sentenced to serve a term ranging from 30 months to 20 years in prison.
Weaver also pleaded guilty to possessing meth during an incident in December, resulting in a 60-day jail sentence. Leader Publications reports that during the court proceedings, Weaver expressed his remorse and offered apologies to his family, the court, and the community.
