The City of South Bend has successfully passed its budget for the upcoming year.
It amounts to $417 million for 2024.
The funding will ensure full staffing for both the police and fire departments, along with the integration of new crime intelligence analysis.
Furthermore, the city will continue investing in neighborhood housing and reducing and redeveloping vacant buildings.
As part of the budget, non-bargaining city employees will receive a 3 percent cost-of-living increase.
