Police: Alcohol, speed possible factors in deadly crash on I-94 in Berrien County

Alcohol and speed may be factors in a deadly two-vehicle collision in Berrien County.

The crash happened around 5 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15, on I-94 near the 15-mile marker.

Berrien County Sheriff’s investigators say one vehicle rear-ended another.

One of the drivers, Lynn Calkins, 69, from Iowa, died. The other driver was arrested on suspicion of OWI causing death.

The name of the person arrested has not yet been released.
