Driver killed after crash at Brick & Fir Roads roundabout

St. Joseph County Police are investigating a deadly single crash.

The collsion happened around 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, at the roundabout at Brick and Fir Roads.

The vehicle approached the roundabout eastbound on Brick Road, and then went up and airborne over the roundabout, landed in a yard and stopped in a driveway of a home in the 52000 block of Fir Road. At this time a cause of the crash has not been determined.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead on scene.

Roundabouts are deadly. A normal intersection would not have done this.
