One man was taken to the Van Buren County Jail after allegedly breaking and entering at a home over the weekend.

A victim arrived home on Sunday to find her rear entry door to her garage forced open and broken glass all over.

Upon arrival, deputies found a suspicious man near the scene, and while they investigated the break in, the man reportedly approached them and provided a fake name.

Officers attempted to detain the man after noticing glass particles on his boots and clothes, but he refused to comply.

They took him into custody pending the result of the investigation on charges of home invasion, possession of burglary tools, obstruction by disguise and three counts of resisting and obstructing.
