Multiple police departments in southwest Michigan worked together on Tuesday, Nov. 7,to find a suspect in a domestic assault incident.
Officers with the Dowagiac Police Department responded to a call for a domestic assault at the Riverside Apartments around 3:50 p.m.
However, they were alerted that the suspect had left the scene into a wooded area and was armed with a crossbow.
Michigan State Police and Pokagon Tribal Police assisted the department in setting up a perimeter of the area, and a drone and K9 were used to attempt to locate the suspect.
Dowagiac Police’s K9 Cash located the 28-year-old suspect in the area around 5:45 that evening and he was taken to the Cass County Jail.
