An Elkhart woman was killed after the car she was driving was struck by a train.

The collision happened around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, at the Main St. railroad crossing just north of Pike St. in Goshen.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found that the sole occupant of the vehicle, Judith Gill, 83, was dead.

Factors that led to the collision are still being investigated.
