The Advantix Development Corporation is looking to build 50 new low-income housing units in South Bend.
The plan looks to transform 37 vacant lots in the northwest and west side neighborhoods of the city.
The project, worth 13 million dollars, will utilize empty, unused lots currently owned by the city.
The development was made possible through the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority state tax credits, which it earned along with 16 other projects across the state.
This is the fourth South Bend project to earn the tax credit in less than 12 months, and it will contribute to the creation of over 210 new affordable housing units and a 60 million dollar investment in the area.
