Woman arrested after alleged OWI-involved crash on Greenleaf Blvd. in Elkhart

One person was arrested and a toddler is recovering from injuries after an apparent OWI-invovled crash.

The collision happened just before 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, on Greenleaf Blvd. west of Holly Drive in Elkhart, when a vehicle, driven by Taylor Ann Pease, 26, of Elkhart ran off the road and crashed into a power pole, then rolled over on to its rooftop.

Sheriff’s deputies say Pease failed standardized field sobriety tests on scene and was arresrted on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

A three-year-old child in the vehicle suffered head pain.
