A Sheriff was injured after a singled vehicle crash on CR105E at CR300S in Miami County.

It happened just after 4 p.m., Sunday, December 10. Sergeant Nathan Freeman was on patrol on County Road 150 east near the intersection of County Road 300 South.

Officials say Sergeant Freeman was trying to catch up to a motor vehicle for a traffic violation.

Reports say that he lost control of the vehicle while turning around. The car then spun sideways into the ditch on the east side of the road.

It then went over a culvert before hitting a tree. Sergeant Freeman was injured and airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
