The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is actively investigating a double fatal shooting that occurred earlier this morning in front of Galley Sports Pub in the 3100 block of  Northview Drive.

A suspect is currently in custody.

It was around 12:20 a.m. when the Elkhart City 911 Communications Center received a call of a shooting
with injuries.

Elkhart Police Department officers and first responders arrived to find two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds lying in the parking lot.

One of the injured males, identified as Michael Pike, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene.  Medics transported the second victim, Jalen Young, 24, to the hospital where he died.

Elkhart Police also located and detained a suspect at the scene. Christain Wall, 22, was arrested and booked into the Elkhart County Jail on preliminary suspicion of Murder.

The arrest will be forwarded to the Elkhart County Prosecutor’s Office for review of formal criminal charges.
