We now know more about a fatal car crash in LaPorte County last week.

County Coroner Lynn Swanson said the autopsy revealed that 60 year-old Charles Adams of Seattle, Washington suffered from extensive heart disease and had suffered a prior heart attack.

He was reportedly driving erratically before the crash on US 20 and Swanson believes Adams suffered another heart attack, likely dying before the crash.

The other driver, whom Adams rear-ended, was not injured in the crash.
