A Goshen man tied to a Fort Wayne murder was sentenced to life without parole and another man is facing his trial soon.
It was in charges of assisting a criminal in a murder. Fort Wayne police contacted Elkhart County after a vehicle chase in 2021. The vehicle crashed and the occupants left.
Police searched the car and found the remains of 55-year-old Shane Nguyen. The Goshen News reports that police also found a receipt from Lowes in Goshen.
That made them believe that Mathew Cramer, Jacob Carreon, and Cody Oscar Clements were involved.
Clements told police he picked up the other men to help get rid of a body. Cramer admitted that he killed Nguyen and was sentenced to life without parole.
His charges were murder, abuse of a corpse, and resisting law enforcement. Clements’ trial is set for October 7.
