Niles man sentenced to probation after being pulled over with gun, cocaine in possession

57-year-old James Lane of Niles was sentenced Friday after pleading Guilty to carrying a concealed weapon and possession of cocaine.

Leader Publications reports that he was stopped in March of 2022 for having expired plates, but when police stopped him, he admitted to having a gun and cocaine in the car.

He was sentenced to 18 months of probation and $2,298 in fines and costs.
