A Buchanan man was sentenced on Friday for possession of drugs, including meth.

It happened in July at Four Winds Casino in Dowagiac. Police were called to the casino on reports of a stolen vehicle.

That’s when they found 43-year-old James Bouma, with a pipe and meth. He pleaded guilty to possession of meth.

Leader Publications reports that the judge thought Bouma was a good candidate for probation. The judge told Bouma to turn his life around.
