Thousands of NIPSCO customers lost power in three Michiana counties.

As of 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, Ot. 22, more than 4,400 customers in the Nappanee area were without electricity. More than 1,400 outages were reported near Bremen, and nearly 1,000 in Kosciusko County.

NIPSCO says the cause has not been determined. Crews are assessing the outages. The utility says customers can check its online outage map for restoration updates.
