A donation drive has been organized for the Smith family, which suffered the loss of five children, Sunday, in a house fire on LaPorte Avenue in South Bend.

The donation drive is taking place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, at South Bend First Church of the Nazarene.

Men’s clothing, boots and shoes are needed, along with women’s clothing.

Hygiene products, art supplies, small games and items for an 11-year-old girl are also needed. Gift card donations will also be accepted.

Also, the Community of South Bend has established the “Smith Family Memorial Fund” to support the family. Monetary donations can be made at any First Source Bank.
