Niles man headed to jail, trying to choke his wife

A Niles man is headed to jail for trying to choke his wife.

It happened in March of last year. Now, 41-year-old Anthony Marzolo pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace with intent to do great bodily harm.

He was sentence to probation and jail, as well as fines and costs. Leader Publications reports that the Berrien County Judge said she was concerned by Marzolos actions and seemed to be intoxicated at a pre-sentence screening.
