The Purdue Boilermakers handed IU a loss on Saturday by a score of 79 – 59. Purdue struggled to find their rhythm in the opening minutes of the game, but their defensive presence and rebounding kept them in the game until momentum shifted. Free throws played a major factor in the Boilermakers victory as they were 21-33 from the stripe, while IU only made 9 of their 15 attempts. Purdue’s three point shooting picked up in the second half allowing the team to pull away and secure the win. The Boilermakers will be at home again on Thursday when they host the Minnesota Golden Gophers, tip off set for 7:30.
