The case involving John Rust’s ability to run for U.S. Senate was heard by the Indiana Supreme Court on Monday.
Rust, who filed to run for Senate last week, has sued the state accusing them of violating his constitutional rights over an Indiana law that set certain parameters to run for Senate.
The law states that a person must have voted in at least two of the previous party primary elections in order to run in a primary.
That law does allow an exception to be made if the county party chairman allows it.
In this particular case the Jackson County chair rejected Rust’s application to run, thus resulting in the lawsuit.

He wants to run for office but feels himself too important to vote in the last two primaries, then you don’t get to run. Go tend to your chickens as they’ve come home to roost you fake Republican. The same guy caught gouging consumers for the price of eggs by was accused in a civil suit of cutting supply to raise prices. No thank you.
Not to mention all the years that he was a registered Democrat…
