Indiana lawmakers discuss ways to help students become better readers

Lawmakers in Indiana are still discussing ways to help students become better readers, but there needs to be more clarity about one particular rule.
During a meeting on Wednesday, the House Education Committee talked about Senate Bill 1. This bill is about helping Indiana students who are struggling with reading.
Senator Linda Rogers, who wrote the bill, explained that it includes many different ideas to ensure students can read well.
