A Dowagiac man was sentenced for meth in Berrien County and is heading to Cass County jail.

31-year-old Evan-Earl Stacks pleaded guilty to possession of meth and was sentenced to a year in jail.

It happened in July, when police were called when Stacks was seen running after a woman. Leader publications reports that he was found with meth in his pocket.

The judge says Stacks has eight convictions for domestic violence.
