Two Indiana drivers were hospitalized after a crash on State Road 8.

The crash happened on Friday afternoon. Authorities say Philip Dalton Sr. of Knox was removed from his vehicle by Plymouth Fire and EMS after being trapped and was transported to Memorial Hospital with major injuries.

The other driver, 81-year-old Geral Ewing of Culver, was also injured in the crash and sent to Memorial Hospital.

The crash is under investigation, but authorities believe controlled substance use may have been a factor.
