Michigan seeks EV investments to boost production

green and white number 2

Michigan is seeking funding to attract factories related to electric vehicles.

Part of that effort includes a new $125 million “challenge grant” fund, and the goal of attracting more projects that rely on federal EV funding and other high-tech manufacturing.

Bridge Michigan reports that two Michigan companies are already expanding with help from federal loans that back a shift to cleaner energy in auto manufacturing. Lt. Governor Gilchrist says additional funding will help the state build excellence in the next generation of manufacturing.
