Male in critical condition after shooting at Irish Hills apartments in South Bend

The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting that wounded one person at Irish Hills Apartments.

Around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, March 18, South Bend Police were called to the 4200 block of Irish Hills Drive on the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a male victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The Violent Crimes Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
