It’s 8 years in prison for a man who pleaded guilty to meth possession.

48-year-old Rolando Colon Sr. was pulled over by Elkhart police on June 5 last year for overly tinted windows, loud exhaust and for reportedly going over the center lane before going into an Energy Oil gas station parking lot.

While the driver was looking for his information, the officer says he saw a bag of meth in the cubby near the steering wheel as well as a joint in the door armrest.

The Goshen News says a search of the vehicle turned up two pipes, a backpack with a baggie of meth and baggies of marijuana on the passenger side.

He was charged with possession of meth, driving while suspended with a prior conviction, and possession of paraphernalia.

He faces a total of 11 years at the Indiana Department of Corrections with three suspended on reporting probation.
