A former Oregon-Davis High School teacher has been arrested on child seduction charges.

Court documents say Kody Lowery was charged with three counts of felony Child Seduction stemming from a relationship with one of his 16-year-old students in October of 2023. Lowery was employed by Oregon-Davis from May 15 of 2023 until his resignation on October 26.

Allegations came to light when a rumor went around the school stating that Lowery and the victim had gone to dinner together, but they both denied the allegations.

Authorities say that between October 13 and 15 of last year, an incident happened at the Banks Apartments in LaPorte where Lowery’s name was on the lease for an apartment, and court documents say Lowery confessed to a family member that he had sex with the victim during that weekend.
