Two suspects arrested, drugs, guns, pit bulls pulled from home in South Bend

Two people have been arrested following an ongoing drug investigation by the South Bend Police Department’s Strategic Focus Unit.

Armed with a search warrant, police entered a home, Wednesday night, March 27, in the 1000 block of Woodward Avenue.

Inside, officers recovered eight firearms, two of which were stolen, more than 1,500 grams of suspected Fentanyl, approximately 500 grams of suspected marijuana and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.

As many as 12 pit bulls were also found at the home and were transferred to the care of the South Bend Animal Resource Center.

Two suspects connected with the investigation, Prescott Brown, 34, and Christopher Jimison, 53, were arrested on multiple preliminary charges and were transported to the St. Joseph County Jail, where they await formal charging decisions from the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.
