Warsaw animal shelter under scrutiny closes doors

(Carli Luca/95.3 MNC)
A Warsaw animal shelter that’s been the focus of recent controversy has now closed their doors.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office says two dogs, around 2 dozen cats, a donkey, a goat, three chickens, a rooster, a turkey, a duck and four pigs were all confiscated Monday after a failed inspection at the Isaiah 11 Ministry on West 100 North.
Indiana’s Board of Animal Health gave the facility a list of 23 recommendations for improvement that needed to be met by March 28th, and the facility was unable to meet them all, leading to the animals being taken to another rehabilitation facility.
The investigation into the shelter is expected to wrap up by the end of the week.
