Elkhart County is taking center stage in the premiere episode of a new national travel documentary series highlighting destinations across the United States.

The first episode of “Kit’s Road Trip America,” now airing on the Fun Roads TV network, showcases several of the county’s signature attractions, including the Quilt Gardens, the Heritage Trail audio driving tour, the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail, and Wellfield Botanic Gardens.

Elkhart County Convention & Visitors Bureau officials partnered with the show’s producers to feature destinations, local businesses, and community members that help define the area’s culture and tourism appeal. Filming took place over several years, beginning in 2020 and wrapping up in 2025. The CVB also served as the presenting sponsor of the episode.

Hosted by Chicago-based travel journalist Kit Bernardi, the documentary series explores communities across America through their history, culture, food, and outdoor attractions.

The 28-minute episode also features interviews with Quilt Gardens volunteers and examines the influence of the Amish community on Elkhart County’s tradition of craftsmanship and makers culture.

The episode is airing nationwide on Fun Roads TV through September. The network is available in more than 77 million U.S. television households and on multiple streaming platforms and cable providers.
