Survey ranks Indiana 8th in country for fatal crashes involving police pursuit

A study conducted by H&P Law revealed that Indiana ranked 8th in the country for fatal crashes that involving a police pursuit.
The study looked at the number of fatal and non-fatal crashes involving a police pursuit from 2017 to 2021 using data reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. (NHTSA)
The study says that over that four year period 1.53% of crashes involving a police pursuit in Indiana were fatal. There were 4,044 crashes reported with 62 of them being deadly.
The state with the highest percent deadly crashes involving a police pursuit was Geogia at 2.09%. The lowest on the list went to Hawaii with .21%. In the four year span three states reported only 1 deadly crash involving a police chase; Hawaii, Alaska, and Vermont.

I love how this is spun as a bad thing, but in reality it is a GOOD thing. It means that Indiana is electing to not pursue criminals.

I feel bad for the innocents who have lost their lives as a result of the criminals fleeing police, but the alternative is a much higher death toll at the hands of all the criminals given free reign because the police cannot stop them.

Don’t believe me? Just look at New Your City or any other deep blue craphole where the police have been rendered powerless.
