St. Joseph County man faces charges linked to stolen vehicle, chase

A man in St. Joseph County, Michigan faces charges linked to a stolen vehicle and chase.
The theft happened on Tuesday, April 16, at Burgener Road and Banker Street in Florence Township.
Deputies spotted the stolen car and pursued it as it fled the scene.
Working with White Pigeon Police Department, deputies used stop sticks multiple times. Despite this, the driver continued through Florence, Sherman, and Nottawa Township before crashing into a utility pole.
The 39-year-old suspect from Lagrange, Indiana, was taken into custody on preliminary charges of motor vehicle theft, fleeing and eluding, and felonious assault.
