Two people killed in plane crash on County Road 21 near Bristol

Two people died in a plane crash in Elkhart County.

The aircraft went down around 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, in the 52000 block of County Road 21 in Bristol.

The initial responding officers located a small fixed-wing aircraft in a wooded area.

The preliminary investigation revealed two occupants in the aircraft died.

One of the victims has been identified by relatives as Wendell Ridenour of Elkhart.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the following agencies: Elkhart County Coroner’s Office, Bristol Police and Fire Departments, Federal Aviation Administration, and National Transportation Safety Board.
