South Bend Fire crews called to Wellington Street house fire twice on Tuesday

South Bend Fire crews were called, not once, but twice, to a house fire on South Wellington Street.

Crews were first called around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30.

Upon arrival, crews observed the house engulfed with flames. Crews returned to the scene around 8:45 a.m. to deal with flames in the attic of the home.

The fire was extinguished shortly.

There has been no reports of injuries to residents or firefighters.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
