Former Michigan Republican Party Chair Laura Cox, who had been called a “co-conspirator” in the false electors case, is actually a cooperating witness in the case according to a spokesperson.
Attorney General Dana Nessel is walking back the claims from an investigator in her office that named Cox in the plot to overturn Michigan’s election results.
Nessel says the former party chair has “cooperated fully” with the AG’s staff throughout the course of the investigation.
Cox said investigator Howard Shock, who accused her as a co-conspirator, “has not been indicted for stupidity, but he should be.”
