Plans have been made for the annual Trolling with the Troops with the Southwest Michigan Steelheaders for the beginning of the summer.

The organization will host more than 100 southwest Michigan veterans on a fishing trip June 21st and 22nd. WSJM reports that 35-40 boats are expected to participate and take the veterans out to fish on Lake Michigan.

The event will start with a dinner at the Stevensville American Legion on the 21st which includes prizes and guest speakers. On the 22nd, the public is invited to gather on the St. Joseph Piers at 1 p.m. to welcome them back from the trip.
