A man who crashed into a tree, last month on Old U.S. 33 has died.

It was back on the morning of April 27 when Daniel Alvarez, 54, drove left of center and off the north side of the roadway. He collided with a large tree in the 29000 block of the highway.

Alvarez was take to Memorial Hospital in South Bend to be treated for injuries.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s deputies say he died last Thursday.
