A man who pleaded guilty to killing two people in a drunk-driving crash in Goshen, nearly two years ago, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Joshua Martinez, 22, expressed remorse to his victims’ family before his sentencing.
Initially pleading guilty, Martinez later tried to change his plea, leading to the reinstatement of his not-guilty plea.
He admitted to consuming four 12-ounce beers before driving, resulting in a .177 alcohol concentration. Martinez was driving at high speed, in June of 2022, on Pike Street when he collided with Craig Coffman’s vehicle, also hitting a second car.
The Goshen News says Leslie Coffman died at the scene, while Craig Coffman died, later, at home.
