One dead after collision between car, moped

Berrien County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fatal collision between a car and a moped early Wednesday morning.

The investigation indicated that a moped driven by a 44-year-old man was headed southbound on Bainbridge Center Road, failed to stop for a stop sign and was struck by a gray Chevy Tahoe.

The driver of the moped was pronounced dead at the scene, and both the driver and passenger of the Chevy were uninjured.

The investigation is still ongoing.
