35-year-old John Brandon Cox, who was accused of shooting a woman he met on Facebook at Ox Bow County Park, was sentenced to more than 20 years in prison.

Cox did not plead guilty to attempted murder, which he was accused of, but The Goshen News says he pleaded guilty to robbery instead.

Cox was accused of driving the victim to Ox Bow County Park where they reportedly got in an argument which led to Cox allegedly placing a handgun against the woman’s head and shooting her.
