Elkhart Police investigating McDonald’s drive thru shooting

Elkhart Police are investigating a shooting that happened at the McDonald’s drive-thru Sunday evening, June 2.

It happened just after 10 p.m. when an officer arrived at the Elkhart General Hospital for a shooting victim that had come into the hospital.

The 16-year-old female reported that she was a passenger in a vehicle in the drive-thru when the vehicle was struck by gunfire and she was hit.

The driver of the vehicle then took her to the hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

A second shooting victim was also brought to the Goshen Hospital, claiming that he was also shot at and struck when he exited a vehicle in the McDonald’s drive-thru.

He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made yet, and the investigation is still ongoing.
