The South Bend Police celebrated the end of the school year in their community by holding a cookout on Saturday.

The cookout took place at Kennedy Park where people gathered for free food, activities, and giveaways.

There was even an appearance from the new South bend Police bounce house which is shaped like a police vehicle.

South Bend Police will host a second cookout later in the summer, that time it will be a “back to school” event.
