If you’re spending time putting together your garden, keep in mind that there are some plants that are dangerous to your family dog.

The ASPCA says nearly 9% of all calls to the animal poison control center are related to pets that have ingested plants that are toxic to them. The five most common plants to keep away from your dogs are:

  • the sago palm
  • tulips
  • lily of the valley
  • oleander
  • azalea.
