One injured in apparent Mishawaka shootout

One person was injured in an apparent shootout in Mishawaka. It happened around 1 a.m. on Monday, June 17.
Police were called to the area of 12th Street and Michigan Avenue on the report of gunfire.
One of the people involved told officers somebody approached their vehicle with a gun and an an exchange of gunfire took place.
The person who was struck was taken to Memorial Hospital with a leg injury.
So far, police have not announced any arrests.
