A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 12 p.m. EDT for the entire MNC listening area.

Within this Watch Zone, we’ve seen several storm warnings issued, including in St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties as the storm that hit southwestern Michigan entered into Indiana, bringing wind gusts topping 60 mph along with heavy rainfall.

Indiana Michigan Power reporting more than 10,000 customers without electricity thanks to the heavy thunderstorms pushing through.

Once this round of storms ends we will feel quite a bit of heat and humidity. Depending on when the rain ends, we will see upper 80s to lower 90s for highs with heat index values in the low to middle 90s. We will see partly sunny skies during the middle of the day on Tuesday. Another chance of storms is possible tonight. Lows drop to 68.

Another round of storms will be possible Wednesday with sun in-between some of the showers. Highs are back to the lower 80s.

Seasonable temperatures and variable cloudiness highlight the rest of the 7-day period from Wednesday through Sunday, with the best rain chances on Saturday.
